Outside Figgy
St Ives is wonderful to be out and about in, and enjoying the beaches. However sometimes it’s nice to have a bit of your own space.
Figgy Cottage doesn’t have one area of outside space, it has two.
Once through the gate into Figgy Cottage there is a lovely large Mediterranean style courtyard which is completely private and secluded.
Here there is a table and chairs for lazy breakfasts, morning coffee, lovely lunches, afternoon beers, sundowner cocktails and summer dinners…or all of the aforementioned.

You will see lots of tropical looking plants in pots, including our fig tree in honour of the cottage name.

In the courtyard there is also a outbuilding housing a laundry with a washer dryer just in case those beach towels start to hum.
You then climb some typically steep Cornish granite steps to the other secret garden.
This is a lawned area with shrubs and a bench seat, as well as a further table and chairs for relaxing in if you prefer this to the courtyard.
You can see the sea from this top garden.
