Inside Figgy
Figgy Cottage is a Grade II listed granite cottage and looks very traditionally Cornish from the outside. Inside there are original features such as the bobbly whitewashed granite walls, slate window sills and white tongue and groove ceilings.
However, contemporary styling has blended with these traditional features. There is driftwood style hard flooring downstairs perfect for sandy feet, a modern comfy sofa, and an Ercol dining table and chairs. The cottage is painted fresh white throughout with colour notes of mustard and teal.
The kitchen looks out onto the courtyard and is modern and seaside-y with open oak shelves. Upstairs, the bedroom has a comfy double bed with lovely cotton bedding and towels provided. The small upstairs bathroom has a roof light, slate tiles and a choice of a bath or shower.
For summer breeziness Figgy Cottage has a half stable front door and it’s lovely to have this open onto the courtyard . For the winter cosiness there is a wood burner-style stove, central heating and hot water bottles provided to keep you extra toasty.
